Actor Brian Krause has "charmed" his way into the otherworldly Halliwell household playing Leo, the resident guardian angel who married Piper (Holly Marie Combs).
A native Southern Californian, Brian entertained the idea of acting while in high school. At the age of 16, he enrolled in his first professional acting class and began working in television. Initially interested in a career in sports medicine, he pursued a semi-professional soccer career with a traveling team. When he landed the lead role in a major motion picture film, he gave up the cleats for a thespian mask.
Making his feature film debut in "Return To The Blue Lagoon," opposite Milla Jovovich, Brian went on to a number starring roles in the theatrical releases "December," Stephen King's "Sleepwalkers," "The Liar's Club," "Kiss Of Fate," "Sight Unseen" and "Mind Games."
Before landing his recurring role as Leo, he had supporting roles in multiple telefilms, guest-starred on "Walker, Texas Ranger" and was series regular Matthew Cory on the daytime drama "Another World.".
During his leisure time, Brian may be found golfing, auto racing or taking care of his home. He currently lives in the Los Angeles area.
Leo is the Charmed Ones' Whitelighter (guardian angel for good witches). Leo died in the World War II battle at Guadalcanal and was reincarnated as a Whitelighter in recognition of the good deeds he had done. He was assigned to the Charmed Ones and quickly fell in love with Piper, which was forbidden by the Elders. Leo's tendency to follow the rules is in complete contrast to the Charmed Ones' tendency to break them.
Leo is married to Piper but continues to watch over the sisters and is the messenger between The Charmed Ones and The Elders or The Powers That Be.
Due to budget cuts for Charmed's eighth and final season, Executive Producer, Brad Kern, was only able to get Brian's character, Leo, on for the first ten and the two finale episodes of Charmed. This was explained by, Leo being "frozen", until the the Charmed Ones defeated the "Ultimate Bad". His co-star, Dorian Gregory, was dropped all together from Charmed's final season, by saying his character, Darryl, had moved to the East Cost.
