Rose McGowan splashes $1.39m out on new house after selling her last one over allergy fears

Rose McGowan no doubt felt like pulling out a tissue after selling her last house.

The Charmed star sold her Las Feliz property earlier this year at a loss after mistakenly believing it was the cause of her allergies.
But she surely be feeling a little better after buying a new dream home in the Hollywood Hills for an eye-watering $1.39 million.
The new property has four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a two-car garage, an outdoor fireplace.

Most importantly, it was advertised as 'ready to move in,' which is a boon for the busy model.'

As well as plenty of space to entertain, including a large living room, a dining area and a luxury kitchen.

There is also plenty of outdoor space with an expansive decking area to the rear of the property, which provides the perfect place to soak up some rays.

However it is doubtful she will enjoy living there as much as her beloved previous home, which she only let go of because of her troubles with allergies.

Marilyn Manson's former lover decided to sell her old Spanish villa style home in February after becoming tired of her constant suffering.

She reluctantly made the final decision after spending thousands of dollars in an attempt to fix the house's air ducts.

Rose said: 'My eyes kept swelling up there. I spent about $17,000 overhauling the duct system, putting allergy c*** on.

'Everyday I was staying at hotels because my eyes were, like, swollen like I got stung by a bee.'

And it was not until after she had sold the house to top music manager Scott Rodger for $1,775,000 that she realised it was actually her pillows that were causing her troubles.

She said: 'I went to the new house, which I loathe, because I had to go somewhere, because I couldn't take it anymore.

'And it happened again. It turns out I'm allergic to down.'

By the time she realised the real cause of the problem it was too late.

She said said she returned to her old home upon learning what the root of her health problems was - and sobbed in the driveway.
She added: 'I tried to see if the guy would sell me my house back, but he won't.'

And while Mr Rodger, who has represented the likes of Paul McCartney and Arcade Fire, did eventually quote her a price, it was far too high for her.

No doubt she will be pleased with her new house though.

Alyssa Milano: Labour was overwhelming

Alyssa Milano was “overwhelmed” by the birth of her baby.

The 39-year-old actress and her husband David Bugliari welcomed son Milo Thomas into the world in August.

Milo is Alyssa’s first child, and she found the labour an awe-inspiring experience.

“Overwhelming and beautiful and everything in between,” she replied when asked how the birth was. “It was a profound experience. I had moments of apprehension throughout my pregnancy but when those fears popped into my head, I just kept telling myself that this is what my body was made to do and to trust that I had all the tools to have a healthy labour and delivery.”

Alyssa’s life feels complete now she has her baby.

The stunning star was overcome with emotions when she first set eyes on her newborn son.

“The first time I saw Milo I finally understood my purpose in life,” she gushed to OK! magazine.

“I think it was more emotional than I thought it would be. Even now, I can’t really put it into words how I felt. To be honest, I can’t even put into words the love I feel now when I look at him.”

Alyssa Milano Tweets Pregnancy Ettiquette

There are just some things that you should NEVER say to a pregnant mom. These things are amplified when you dare to make the inappropriate pregnancy comment to a celebrity mom with almost two milion Twitter followers.

Alyssa Milano took to Twitter this afternoon to inform the world about the pregnancy faux pas dealt out by a relatively innocent furniture sales person. What exactly was the comment(s) that set the star off about things that you should never say to a pregnant woman?

“This woman that is helping us in a furniture store just asked me if I am having twins,” Alyssa tweeted. “Not once but three times.”

The “twin” comment is one that many pregnant moms may run into. That and the question about how much weight you’ve gained. Why you haven’t delivered yet. Debate about how far along you are. Critique about your name selection, nursery decoration, and childbirth plan. Hmmmm….. really just about about any comment that would cause a pregnant woman’s hormones and emotions to spike.

Rose McGowan talks Conan The Barbarian and cancelled Barbarella remake

Star of the upcoming Conan the Barbarian reboot Rose McGowan talks to Total film about her character and finally speaks up as to why her long awaited Barbarella remake never saw the light of day.

Rose spent 5-6 hours a day in the makeup chair for Conan the Barbarian, she had prosthetics starting from the bridge of her nose to the top of her head. “I think she’s quite majestic… She is a bit startling at first but I think she’s quite beautiful in her own way.”

She also gave her thoughs on why Jason Momoa is better then Arnold Schwarzenegger's Conan.“Arnold is very muscular, but Jason is a beautiful man. His muscles are very different � of the non-steroidal variety.

“If you go back and watch the Schwarzenegger one, he can barely pass his sword from one hand to the other, because he’s so bulky.”

Total film also asked her on the reason that her long anticipated Barbarella remake with director/fiancee Robert Rodriguez never got to production.

“It was a pity. I have a test that we did that would blow people’s minds. I took the flak. I never announced why."

“I never said why. I took all the hits of [people] saying, ‘She couldn’t raise the money.’ But there was $80m in Germany, but Robert [Rodriguez] didn’t want to shoot there and I had serious family stuff.”

So, could the project ever be resurrected? “Probably not… I’m with somebody British [financier Rob Adams] now.”

McGowan is also in this months issue of BlackBook magazine where she briefly talked about Conan and Barbarella.

"I'm so impressed by how insane and magnificent I look in the film" "I was in prosthetics for five hours each day from 2 untill 7 in the morning. The whole experience was otherwordly and beautiful. and I really loved what was being created. it was nice to feel that way"

The artcile went on to talk about McGowan's hertwo year absense from high profile films "I took two years off because my father died. I pulled out of three films to deal with it. We had $85 million to shoot Barbarella in Germany, but Robert did'nt want to shoot there".
